Synthrapol or Retayne

I hope I spelled those correctly. Anyways, I'm just about to finish a white and red quilt. I soaked the red in vinegar before I made the quilt, but there is so much work in it I don't want to take a chance on the red bleeding. I found a site that explains when to use which product, and it seems I should use Syntharpol on the finished quilt. Opinions please...

Quilt tour/back home

Saw lots of beautiful quilts at the Asheville quilt show. Got to get to know Mary Stori, as she was the guest hostess for the trip. They even had a private showing of their PTA group's small quilt challenge for us. It was all about barns, with the quilt trail barns being featured.
The Burnsville quilt trail was very interesting, and loved the "New" blocks designed for the sock factory (with socks) and the one on the dentist's office -with toothbrushes.
Supported the local economy by buying some fabric at the Asheville Cotton company.
I'll post more on the chat page after finishing my coffee that I'm drinking out of my new mug which I bought at the craft fair in Asheville.

Do People Use the Yahoo Board?

Since none of the old WWQP members are posting messages about their quilting on this Google Bulletin Board any more I am wondering if they are talking about their quilts on the Yahoo board that was formed when the old WWQP was going down in spamming flames? Is that board active and lively or has it fizzled out like this board? Yahoo boards are convenient (I belong to three different ones) with their email digests.

I see that the BB Chat is going strong but apparently the Chatters are not going to tell us about any quilts they are making. :-)

I've been sewing on Christmas gifts ... tote bags, "snap bags" and tree ornaments. Plus I have been repairing several vintage quilt tops I bought at an antique mall. The vintage tops will be used for longarm practice this winter when the snow is deep and I want to play in the basement with my new HQ Avante.
