Okay, Anyone Tried The Rotary Cutter Light?

Gave a really big sigh when I saw a photo of a tiny light that can be attached to the side of a rotary cutter. This item is by Clover and is designed to fit on the Clover rotary cutter ... the article in Threads magazine says you can buy it at FabricDepot.com for $7.99

Do they think we are cutting fabrics in a gloomy cave and need a tiny little light on our cutter? Do they really think we are dumb enough to buy something this silly???

BB Chat

Well, today I got on, but can only see posts from Tuesday. Odd. I don't know why I'm having trouble all of a sudden.

The Quilt Show

I signed up for TQS, too, a while back, and I love it. I stop in every morning after visiting here. I go to the Forum, then click on the "view posts since last visit" link at the top upper right corner, and see what's been added. I've tried the chat rooms a few times, too, but usually don't have the time for that. I love the quilt gallery and will look up Judy in Ohio next visit, after I read our Chat page here. Last night I watched the 9th video, the one with the really nifty piping, how cool!

All done

Well, I told you I had to clean my sewing room (still haven't found the missing things) and I came across a box of stuff that I had done when I got caught up in the folding fabric flowers faze. So - lets do something with this. I finished them and then didn't know what to do with them. That's when the quilting madness took over. I did this, then did that, then did something else and ended up with this wall hanging. As I look at it I think I could have done something better with the edges but I will leave it as is. It was pure impulse from start to finish and I had fun.

I don't know why I call it Winter Flowers but that's the name.

Oh happy day.

Tee hee

Can't wait to show you what I'm working on!!!! I picked up a really old unfinished project and it's turning into a surprise. What fun quilting can be!

Just Your Ordinary Quiltmaker ...

As a member of The Quilt Show I have posted five of my quilts in their gallery. (I am saving my sixth space for something special I might create in the future.) Plus I have posted six personal photos as well. I am not "famous" nor am I "infamous", I am just your ordinary quiltmaker who gets to hang out in the same gallery with people like Libby Lehman, Alex Anderson, Ricky Tims and other well-known and other ordinary members. If you want to look me up at The Quilt Show I am known at that site as ..... surprise, surprise ..... JudyinOhio.

Quilt Gallery - 6000 images

I signed up as a member at thequiltshow.com (Ricky Timms and Alex Anderson) and have sadly not been watching their shows like I would like to do. This morning I went to their site and began looking at the quilt gallery. Over 6000 quilt images by famous and infamous (what's the opposite of famous ??? LOL) quilters. You Dooooo have to be a member to view the quilts but I'm just reminding you, if you are a member, to take advantage of their quilt gallery for inspiration!

OOOPS LINDA

I was just checking the board to start the day and decided it was navy blue and white rather than black. Looks just great "either way you look at it".

Quite cool here and we had an inch of rain last week. Hooray.

Musings on a Sunday afternoon

How could I lose a ruler that's 24 inches long and 6 inches wide and bright yellow? How could I lose my user manual for my fairly new sewing machine? What kind of feet do these things have that they can travel from my sewing room which is the only place I use them to parts unknown. Have you any idea how many days I've wasted my time looking for them before I came here to share my woes with the only people in the world who could sympathize with me? Usually things turn up when I do some "house cleaning" and my sewing room is the cleanest it's ever been. Nothing.

I feel a little better now.

PS I even went out a bought a new ruler I was so lost without it. This one's green.

OH LINDA

I am jealous. You decided to do something within living memory and you DID it! What a beautiful job. You've demonstrated how a simple block, not too intricate (great points by the way) and relatively large, in your hands can make a stunning quilt, three of them in fact. I too like the addition of bright red to blacks and greys. Your fabric choice was perfect. Good on Ya.

Black and White Quilts

Oh Linda. I absolutely love those quilts. How unique!! Way to go!! My daughter would like them also as she loves black and white . And you hand quilted them also. Keep up the good work. Marge in pa.
