Hobbs Poly Down

Hancock's of Paducah carries the king size Hobbs PolyDown batts at $14.98. Since I rarely buy a king size, I'm not sure if this is a good price or not. I know that I used to buy cases of the queen sized Quilter's Dream from them at a good price. That was when I lived over 2 1/2 hours from a place to buy batting, though.

A GREAT ARTICLE

There is a wonderful article in a travel magazine about my guild's show last August along with pictures and reference to the annual NC Quilt Symposium which we are sponsoring in June 2012. The symposium will be held at Western Carolina University just a few miles over the mountain from me. The article appears at www.americanroads.net/Art-Trails . She got a few facts wrong, none of which is significant. For instance, the show is on alternate years. We'd never have time to do anything else if it were annual.

King-size batting

Is anyone else having trouble finding king-size batting? I usually buy Fairfield Traditional or Hobbs Poly-Down and have been buying it at Hobby Lobby and Michaels using their coupons. Apparently they are not carrying king-size any more - guess it takes up too much room. And I've also noticed that the space they devote to batting is getting smaller and smaller. Batting at quilt shops is so much more expensive. I've searched online and the cheapest I've found is Connecting Threads (their shipping is relatively low also). Anyone have other sources? Thanks!
