AQS magazine?

I received an add to subscribe to the AQS magazine, with lots of "win this, etc" come ons.
Does anyone here subscribe to it? Do you like it? I've been shy about spending money on magazines that are filled with nothing but ads. Right now I only subscribe to Fonz and Porter, and sometimes pick up other quilt mags. when in a book store.
The quilting is getting slower and slower, need to get a baby quilt done for a baby already born.
It has minki fabric, which I said that I'd never use again! The mom like blues and brown for the baby boy. Can't seem to get motivated.

Slide Show

I have this pattern and plan to use it for a blue and brown quilt using a flower fabric I bought last summer. Lots of blues/browns for the little squares.

One quilt shop had it made up in juvenile fabrics. Quite cute!

Tie Quilt Prep

I am going to make my first tie quilt and I have them all cut apart and pressed and spray starched. Must I use a light interfacing in them or will the starch be enough? I am thinking of making a jewel box quilt with them.
TIA,

A Good Pattern For That Fabric You Hate To Cut Into Small Pieces

I'm working on a gift "couch quilt" for a friend who loves to visit Disney World in Florida at least once a year so she can enjoy the perfection of all the flower beds she sees there. (The back of this quilt has a vintage Mickey Mouse design.)

I thought I would offer this "Slide Show" pattern by Atkinson Designs as an idea to anyone who has a fabric that he or she does not want to cut up into small pieces. The large squares are very good for showcasing a dramatic print, and some oriental type fabrics would probably look absolutely scrumptious in those "slides".
