Sampler Quilts

I am trying to finish 2 sets of sampler blocks that were started years ago. I'd like something more than just a plain sashing between the blocks. Anyone have any ideas or places to "look" for unique settings?

Posted 2 days in a row, wow, maybe this is going to work after all for this old senior citizen.

Hi, Raeann, the sashing I used on my Batik Stars quilt, which is on this page but further down, is really simple, but I think it looks nice. It's just strips of fabric 1 1/2" wide, sewn print-white-print, then attached on the side of the blocks. When a strip of blocks are sewn in a row, then make a strip of the sashing strips separated by nine patches, and stitch onto both sides of the first row. Take a look and see what you think.
