Picture Play

Hi Everyone!

I really, really like this new format! Hope to post more often. Right now I will try out the "Add Image" icon. If it works, you will see a quilt that I made for my dear friend's granddaughter. The pattern is from Ami Simms book, Picture Play Quilts. Now that I am blessed with three grands, I must make more of these I Spy kind of quilts.

Love and hugs, Angela in Southern California

Angela, that is such a cute collection of novelty fabrics that you used to make the quilt! I imagine you had fun finding all of those fabrics and now have the cutest stash which means you will have an easy time making the quilts for your grands. Thanks for sharing the photo of your quilt which certainly looks like it was fun to make.

Very nice! Is that sashing pieced or just a really cute fabric?

Love the quilt, I have made two quilts for "I spying". They were made for the grandkids to nap when they are at grandma and pa pa's house but I've been known to nap under them also.

Angela, great I Spy quilt! Don't you just love them? I have made 4 and still can't help looking at the novelty fabrics everytime I am in the fabric stores. Have you tried Ami's Off the Floor (OTF) method for using up the scraps? Last year when I was not motivated to do anything else, I made 30 8 inch blocks using scraps. Just haven't done anything with them yet. Laurel
