quilt magazines?
I'm going to post this on the other board also, but wondering about what quilting mag. I should subscribe to for the next year. My Fonz & Porter is about to expire. I got Quilting Arts for a year, but that is more "artsy" than I am, and just wound up feeling bad about myself. Not really traditional either, sort of in between somewhere.
Any suggestions?

The only Q magazine I subscribe to any more is "The Quilt Life" which is put out by Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson. You might want to pick up a copy at the magazine rack at your local grocery store/book store and take a look at it before subscribing. It's different from the run-of-the-mill Q magazines which is why I like it.

My favorite is The Quilter, NOT American Quilter. I don't subscribe, but find myself buying it more often than not. Would like to subscribe but have piles and piles to read. I remember a discussion we had years ago--a mag has to have at least 3 patterns/articles that we like before we spend the money. Sams Club sells quite a few now at a discount--and the 40% coupon can be used at Hobby Lobby. Every little bit helps.

I like McCalls - they have very good directions and pictures. Not so much "artsy" as some. Fons & Porter seemed to be full of ads for themselves.
