Found it! Thanks so much. I also think that I may use the pattern on the front cover for some neutral fabrics I just bought. I've never done a log cabin in anything other than bright colors.
Kathi that is an interesting variation on the log cabin. I also found two patterns I want to do with scrap squares in another older issue I found while looking. They have been marked with post-its all these years.
Every time I go through those old magazines, I find something else that I want to make. Some of the ones I had marked previously are no longer on the list at all. Funny how that works.
I never have understood how someone can get a magazine, cut out a pattern or two and then throw the rest out. My interests and tastes in quilting have changed so much in the last 15 or 20 years.
