Just looked at the requirements for the Millennium Charm. For the background 779 squares; floating border 760, number "2" 83, first zero 108,second zero 112, third zero, 116. For the letters spelling Millennium,you need 42 squares. Quite a few squares, looks like.

I had to get out the calculator to double check, but it adds up to 2000 squares. That was the original intent of the quilt...to use 2000 squares to match the year 2000.

Kathi is right. Won't be a Y2K quilt if there are not 2000 squares. And to make it a true "charm quilt", it must include 2000 DIFFERENT fabrics. lol. I fudged on a couple with my original. My 1-inch duplicate (see previous post) has many duplicates because I don't have enough of each color. However, it will have 2000 squares.
