The metal. No grease, just the build up from sitting over time someplace. Should not have bought it. Trying to clean it up to resell.

WD40 is a good cleaner - you can scrub with some nylon net if you need to. Use strips and "floss" in the hard-to-get areas. Wipe it off with a soft clean cloth.
