My Quilt Inspector or why I need a design board

I decided to work on the borders of this quilt and Pebbles decided to check it out.  Took her picture and put the camera away, came back and Lucy, our cat, was on it.  Once I got the animals off of it and started realized I was missing one piece.  It's pack away (I hope) until we move into the new house.  Should be moved in a couple of weeks.

That quilt is drop-dead gorgeous. It must have taken you forever to cut and piece it. And one piece is missing!!???? How dreadful!!

Do you think that one of your furbabies guilty of the crime?

Have I seen that quilt as a kit somewhere? More details, please.

It’s a kit from Starr Designs. Got it many years ago at the Chicago Quilt Show. Cut one strip too narrow, looked around for more material, got discouraged, and put it away. Last spring got smart & took the strip with me to the quilt show which is now in Cincinnati, went to Starr Designs booth and they sent me another strip. Building a new house & it isn’t ready yet so we are in temporary housing with most of our possessions packed up. I have the buff colored strips for the first and third borders. Second border is the different colored squares and am missing one. I have some packed away somewhere, hopefully will find them when I unpack – moving into the new house in a couple of weeks. You cut the strips of the different colors and sew them together in sets so you aren’t working with individual squares. Thanks
