Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of a California king sized bed quilt would be? I really need to know soon. See my last two posts on the chat page and you will understand.
The mattress size is 72 x 84. So quilt size will depend on how much of a drop you want on either side. It used to be 12 inches (so a total of 24) but some of the new thick mattresses are 15 inches deep. I just finished a double irish chain, doesn't take that long if you do strip piecing instead of cutting each piece separately.Lavinia-TN

The "All in One Quilter's Reference Tool" says that your choices for a California King are:
Comforter: 96" x 96" (comforters cover the mattress but not the box spring and generally do not have a pillow tuck)
Coverlet: 104" x 110" (coverlets cover the mattress and box spring and generally have a pillow tuck)
Bedspread: 114" x 115" (bedspreads cover the bed almost to the floor and have a pillow tuck)
