An Answer For Nancy's Question From Bunny in Illinois

Bunny in IL contacted me with the answer to Nancy's question because she (Bunny) has not been able to join the "improved" WWQP Bulletin Board due to red tape hassles. Bunny said she got this information from the old WWQP BB about ten years ago. I've copied and will try to paste from Bunny's email and we'll see how that works ...

The only point of discussion for the list is the quilting time. The list shows quilting time between 500 & 900 hours. I'm not disputing that; if you're doing intricate quilting, it very well could be that high.

However, I don't think "most" professional quilters charge by the hour for quilting. It has been my observation that the quilting charge is by the square inch. Easy meanders have a low rate per square inch; heirloom quilting has a very high rate per square inch.

But even with an heirloom quilting I don't think it would be in the range of 900 hours.

So, I think *that* part (only the quilting) of the list is somewhat misleading.

Thank you Judy and Bunny - That's exactly what I was looking for. I thought it had come from the old BB and I know I copied it, but I think I saved it on my old computer which crashed a few years ago along with everything on it! Thank you again SO much! NancyH
