Cost of a Handmade Quilt

Several years ago I read an "estimate" of how much it would actually cost to make a queen-size quil using quilt-shop quality fabric and, I think, charging minimum wage for the hand quilting and piecing, basting, etc. Seems like the total was somewhere around $25,000. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this or where it originated? Thanks!! NancyH

Nancy, I have the article, but I don't have any references as to where or when I got it. No URL, no date, etc. If you would like to contact me, I will get it to you. Bunny in IL filer@mchsi.com

I have no idea where to get the info. I've never hand pieced, or hand quilted anything. Even so, we do not put enough value on our work. Maybe we should start calling them works of art.
