I just completed a top for a wedding. They registered for sheets and towels in Neutrals, so I mad a neutrals quilt. It was from McCalls Aug. 2007, called White Chocolate. It came out just beautiful. Now it just needs to be quilted. I have the backing and batting washed and pre-shrunk. I can start this weekend. I must take it to the guild for show and tell first.
Here goes...
This is one block. Alex says, "Don't forget to add white".
Here is the whole top. and one of the whoe quilt so you can see the border with the cornerstones.
I guess the order is not as I planned, but you get the idea.
It was fun to do. I always wanted to do a neutral quilt and th is was the perfect quilt for it.

You make me wish I'd done something simpler with my daughter's wedding quilt. I love the neutral stuff and have planned or at least hatched a few in my head. Oh well, as long as I harbor such plans I'll live forever.
Congratulations,

Donna - Beautiful! I have Alex's book on neutral quilts and I just haven't gotten to it yet. I have a stack of shades of pale blues and greys and whites that I want to try instead of the beiges. Now I have the spark to get going!! Thanks! NancyH

What a beautiful quilt. I have a deathly fear of triangles, and will most likely never do any. Love the subtle nutrals.

Donna - I'm attempting this quilt, not using patttern, just copying block from your pictures. Can you tell me how big your blocks are? I'm trying an 8" but those pieces sure get small! Thanks. NancyH

Donna - what a beautiful quilt! Remember when a lot of the BB'ers were making the NDTS (No Darker Than Sand) quilts? This qualifies as one. It is lovely.
