Quilt Sampler Mag

I saw the quilt Sampler magazine this week. It's 12.95! 20 shops are shown, but still! I don't think it is as special when it first came out and readers actually picked the shops and there were only 10 a year. Maybe that is just me.

The previous one was pretty disappointing I thought. Maybe a good use for the JoAnn's 40% off.
12.95 you can practically get a book.

Yes....for $12.95 you can get wonderful books. Try eBay & Amazon stores. A lot of books you can even pay for the book & postage for that amount! Harriet

I have not bought a Quilt Sampler magazine in years. They all began to look the same and you could hardly find the "articles" for all of the advertisements. I flip through the pages of the newest Quilt Sampler while standing at the magazine rack at the store and I shrug my shoulders and put the magazine back on the rack. I guess I've been quilting too long and have bought too many books and magazines and thus have become "jaded" ... perhaps it's a magazine for younger quilters.

The current issue out is supposed to be the best of the best. The new one for 2007 will be out in May. I glanced thru it at the book store and was also disappointed. The quilt patterns are the same as the original issues featured. Why would one want to spent $13 for the same patterns we already have from the first time around??? My first couple of issues were well worn as I took them when I traveled so I could visit the featured shops. But I never made any of the quilts because they just weren't my style at the time. One store had pics of some quilts I liked, but they never bothered to answer my emails about the patterns.
