Hair Color = Strawberry Blonde
In my younger years I was a full bore carrot-top who got teased mercilessly in school about the garish color on top of my head but as I've added white hairs to the red hairs I find that Mother Nature has finally done me a favor. I am getting a color that many women pay good money for. LOL
This is my "Better Late Than Never Quilt", my Y2K quilt that I made in 2004.

Judy - I LOVE that quilt! Is there a name for the pattern? I was trying to find the blocks by looking at the picture and not having much luck. It's gorgeous - and I love the way you "displayed" it! Wish my gray would blend as well as yours! NancyH

NancyH, one advantage I had by making my Y2K after everyone else had finished theirs was I could browse the internet and see designs that had been successfully used by others ... I did not have to reinvent the wheel. The quilt I chose to imitate used a block called "Wedding Ring". You can see how the block looks by going to my Webshots album where you can also see my blow-by-blow description of my "suffering" as I created this double-bed sized beastie. It seemed to me as though I planned and sorted and planned and organized and planned some more before I ever took a stitch. LOL

Judy - Now that I looked at your pictures I can see why you call it a "beastie"! It's not the block itself, it's getting the colors right so that the corners form a square of the same color. I'm working on a queen-size top made with about a million (or so it seems) flying geese. I will have lots of half-square triangles left over which are just the right size for another project. This could be it - but it will be lapsized for sure! Thanks for some great pictures. Nancy
