Another picture
This pic is from 3 years ago, when my Storm at Sea/Mal de Mer quilt won Best of Show at our little show here in Rockport. In 1999, it got a 3rd place in Houston. The pic was taken right after I found out that it had got the BOS ribbon. My hair is longer now, and lighter. I've decided to call my hair color platinum blonde. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, LOL.

Pat, the color of the prize ribbons go marvelously well with your quilt. LOL. I'm impressed...I'd never have the nerve to put together such a complicated quilt!! Did you use one of your treadles on this quilt?

No, this quilt was made back when I had a Pfaff 1475 CD, and I made it mostly on that machine. Right around that time, I started getting serious about collecting and using my older machines, and a couple of years later, I sold the Pfaff on eBay when I realized it hadn't been out of its case in two years. Now I do everything on my treadles and hand cranks, except for when I take workshops--then it's a Singer Featherweight or a Singer 301, two very nice portable electric straight-stitch machines from long ago.
