Thought you might like to see a quilt that my DIL made while taking a beginner class. She had never used a sewing machine. Ask me if I am proud of her. I don't think I would have tackled it when I first started.

She did a wonderful job and now you have someone to go stash-shopping with! Looks like that beginner class covered just about every technique. Please tell us that it also took months! I'd hate to think the class was only a few days. :-)

Wow! She did an outstanding job! Way to go! I agree, looks like many techniques were covered. Like the design for a sampler quilt...

WOW!! a fantastic quilt. I don't think I would have been brave enough to tackle that one as a first quilt...she did a great job.

I asked her how many sessions and she thought 10. I am very proud of her and now she is off to other quilts. Imagine that her next one is a 9 patch. From very difficult to very easy. She had a great teacher.

Great quilt! I'll bet after that "beginner" project she can tackle anything. Glad she stuck with it and didn't burn out. NancyH
