Red White and Blue
Hi everyone. I'm taking timeout from quilting on my Red White and Blue quilt (destined for Brooke Army Medical Center) to check messages. MQing can make you tense if you keep at it too long at a stretch. I remember that one of my first lessons in MQing was "Step one: have a glass of wine to loosen up." Don't always do this anymore, but it can sure help!

QM Judy,
After numerous attempts I hope I am finally able to post my first message and my first is to you. I was thrilled to hear that your R,W &B quilt is going to BAMC. Living in SA, also known as Military City USA, we hear a lot about the GIs coming here to recover from their wounds. It is good to hear that others know about BAMC too. After the News profiled the new Center for the Intrepid, a recovery center for the wounded, I hope that many more will know about the great work being done to help these guys. What a comfort that your quilt will bring to someone.

Trina - Our guild, AAQG, has a Red White and Blue Project. See http://www.aaqg.org/showandtell/200509ShowandTell/September_2005_Show_&_Tell3.htm
for some examples. I've turned in one before - http://aaqg.org/showandtell/200604ShowandTell/May_2006_Show_and_Tell-f0009.htm
the blocks had been made by my friend Maxine. When she move to a retirement home, she gave them to me. I added four blocks and made them into a RWB quilt. Wonder who has it now.....
