Vaccuum storage bags
Has anyone tried storing old, worn, quilts with sentimental value in the storage bags that you can vaccuum out the air?
What about better quilts? Would the process stress the quilt?
What about small scraps?

If the bags are plastic, I would not recommend them for any quilt of value. The plastic "breathes" out chemicals that can damage the fibers. The same is true of untreated wood or cedar chests. I store all my quilts in cotton pillow cases. Of course, the best way to store them is laid out flat on a spare bed even if it is a dozen quilts--better than folding them.
