Hawaiian Quilters

Here's a really neat story about Hawaiian quilt teachers John and Poakalani Serrao and how they became teachers. Hawaiian quilts have a tradition of their own. Everyone loves their beauty but not many quilters have tried this type of quilting. Click here to read more about John and Poakalani.

What an inspiritional article. Not until you get over 1/2 way into the script do you see that the wife was born with only one arm. Just think what talent and dedication they have!
    Wow.

For anyone who has an interest in, or love of Hawaiian quilts, please keep an eye out for a beloved Hawaiian quilt which was stolen. My husband was moving our daughter to college in Chicago, the van was broken into, and an award-winning quilt ("Mainland Flowers") which was made by my mother was stolen. We are grieving this loss and only hope that the quilt has been put to some positive use. Thank you.
