Oops!

I do realize that you don't want the washer to put strain on the quilt by spinning too hard, but my machine drains during the spin and drain cycle, and too much water might be left in the quilt and make it quite difficult to deal with.

And if that makes sense to you, it's more than it does for me. LOL.

    On some front loaders (at least on my new Bosch washer) you can take a wet object that you have either hand washed or washed on the delicate or handwash cycle and set the washer on just the spin cycle to remove water.
    I find that the "handwash" setting or delicate cycle doesn't quite squash all of the water out of things the way the high speed spin does, though.
