Red White and Blue
This is my first Red White and Blue quilt that I donated to an injured soldier. The original blocks were made by my friend Maxine, who gave them to me when she moved to a retirement home and said "Here, do something with these!" I made three more blocks and added a homespun red white blue plaid backing.

What a beautiful quilt. Well done. Hope that soldier keeps warm under it.

Definitly is a beautiful quilt and I am sure the soldier appreciated the thought and caring that went into making it. The soldier knows someone cares.

Good for you. A wonderful quilt, and I'm sure it was a comfort to the soldier and his family.

Oh, that is a handsome quilt! You did an excellent job and I'm really touched that someone's "leftovers" were put to such good use.

Wed, Jan 31st Washington Post had an article on the front page about quilts for wounded soldiers if anyone wants to read it. It is too long to post here.

Thanks, Marge. I found this artical by going to washingtonpost.com and doing a search on "quilt". It showed several articles, including the one from Jan 31 that you referenced.
Hope others will join me in this project.
