Pushing myself along







After seeing the pattern "Snow Days" from Crabapple Hill at a quilt show earlier this year, I decided that I'd try expanding my horizons. I hadn't done any embroidery in well over 40 years, but took the plunge anyway. Now I'm going to post the first three blocks as an incentive to me to keep plugging away at it.


Actually, this type of handwork lends itself well to sitting by the TV in the evening. Just have to get the "old" hands back into working condition. I hadn't done any handwork since finishing the applique that Rosey designed, and that was at the end of last winter.

    Nice work! Crabapple Hill has the most wonderful patterns in a huge variety of themes. I just finished their pattern of a Christmas tree with a fluffy snowman pushing another fluffy snowman up a ladder to decorate the tree.
    Enjoy making the rest of your blocks.

    Thanks for the nice comments. I'm glad, Nancy, that you could see the dots. I was hoping that they would make it look like it was snowing.

    Kathi-Are you doing the Quilt University class? I've started!
    If I could learn how to "scan" and do other computer things it would be helpful, but I'm plugging along.
    Your snow squares are lovely.

    I too have discovered Crabapple Hill. It is nice to rediscover something I have not done in ages. I am working on the miniature ornaments that look like quilt blocks.
    Hello to all I have not talked to in ages either.
    I've been quilting but mostly charity quilts that are quick and easy.
