The top for my 4-Patch Stacked Posey is now on the pile of "quilts to be quilted". I won't get to any MQing until after Christmas, but it's nice to have some of the tops completed. I have a list of about a dozen or so that I'm going to try to finish in the somewhat near future. Good luck! First I have a couple of grandkid quilts to be made.
This is a fun (and very easy) pattern. Making the blocks is quite addicitive.

I love it! Is the pattern called "Stacked Posey"? Gonna look for that one.
ReplyDeleteI think the actual name is 4-Patch Stacked Posies. The pattern shows it with sashing strips/setting squares. This fabric just didn't lend itself to anything I tried, so it didn't get those.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is by HDDesigns.

But that is what makes it so dramatic .. no sashing, no division between the blocks. Just have to find the perfect fabric to pull off that amazing quilting "stunt". :-)
ReplyDeleteI had to search to find the 4-patches! Clever! And striking!
ReplyDeleteKathi, can you recall the name of the black and white fabric(s) that you used in making this beauty? (I am guessing that you used more than one print.) I don't want to make mine a case of "Monkey see, Monkey do" but I am curious to see what density of pattern in the fabric gave such a good result.
ReplyDeleteI have my eye on a fabric that has angular stars and jagged lines ...
It was one I picked up at Joann's last summer. I was looking for something to try the new pattern and got the end of a bolt. I can post a picture of the original fabric for you. There was only one for the center of the quilt and a coordinating one for the edge.
