Here's a new foundation pieced wall hanging I've been fiddling with for the last few weeks. The pattern is called "Spinning Wheels" and it is from the March/April 2006 issue of Quilts With Style, a foundation piecing magazine that is no longer being published. I bought this as a kit with Dimples fabrics by Andover supplied as part of the kit. I love having fabric color wheels in my sewing room .... so much snazzier that mere paper color wheels.
I am waiting for more black Dimples fabric to arrive because I want to add a border to this small thing ... it is only 27" square as it hangs on my design wall now. (The Fiskar rotary cutter gives you an idea of its size.) But in the meantime a photo of this new favorite fabric color wheel makes a lovely desk top image on my computer. :-)
Now I will sit here and wonder if anyone reads our dear old WWQP BB any more.

Yes, Judy. I do. I get it through my Google Reader. :-)
ReplyDeleteI read, but cannot post. Maybe it will take comments.
ReplyDeleteI love your color wheel. Take more pictures of the room with them in it......Marci
Gorgeous, Judy! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think many still read. :-) I haven't done much sewing lately (life has been busy) so don't I don't have much quilty/sewing things to share. I do enjoy what others are able to post, though.

Love the idea of the color wheel hanging in your sewing room! I've often thought of painting a big quilt block onto the wall - if I can draw it on graph paper why couldn't I do it on a wall?! One of these days... NancyH
ReplyDeleteFabulous Quilt, Judy! I read when there's something to read! Bunny
ReplyDeleteI still lurk, just not much to post. Working on 3 baby quilts, will try to post pics when done.
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I would love to get our hands on this pattern....any ideas on how/where please? I understand it's now OOP so am guessing our chances are pretty slim. Hugs Naomi

ReplyDeleteDear Judy... did you ever finish this? I just finished my this past week. It has been sitting as an UFO since I started the project in 2006.
I am looking for suggestions how to quilt it. Karen xoxo
