The Disappearing 9-Patch in a Scrappy Layout

On her blog Kristin La Flamme , who currently lives in Germany, shows a very scrappy Disappearing 9-Patch that will be donated to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. We've talked about this pattern before, but I hadn't really looked at it as a good way to use up scraps! Yes, I've thought of using larger pieces of scraps, but not smaller individual squares. Consider all the colorways that could be used!

Ahhh! Probably ALL of you are already way ahead of me and have already considered the scrappy alternative. Oh, well, consider me slow. LOL

    I really liked her blog & her disappearing nine patches too.
    I loved that little spark of orange, I thought that really made the quilt.
